Psychological Counseling
Psychology West Columbia
Carolina Health and Hearing is proud to offer our community comprehensive psychological counseling. Our licensed Clinical Psychologists specialize in working with those who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and other behavioral health concerns. We believe that the therapeutic alliance, the relationship between client and therapist, is the foundation to change.
When a strong, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic relationship is established individuals feel safe and comfortable to discuss difficult issues and challenge themselves to make changes. We believe that the goal of therapy is to empower individuals to reach their desired goals by identifying issues that negatively impact life and exploring emotions that contribute to unhealthy behaviors.
Our therapy assists individuals in replacing unhealthy coping strategies with healthy behaviors and attitudes. In addition to our therapeutic services, our Clinical Psychologists support Veteran Compensation and Pension examinations as well as Social Security Disability Determination Services.
Only a Psychiatrist may prescribe medication. Psychologists do not prescribe medication.
